All parts and repairs have VAT included with their price.

We have a full range of brake disc and pads in stock. Brake pads of which we use Scandinavian Brake Systems manufactured units, organic type for the F650 single cylinder models cost between R300 to R400. The sintered brake pads also of the SBS stable cost between R450 to R650 per set. We do not charge for brake pad fitments when other work is completed on the motorbike.

 

Brake discs we make use of NG or MSD parts. Costing on these range from between R1150 to R2560 per unit.

 

Our most popular brake discs are for the:

  • R1200GS Rear disc rotor R1565 (Fitted incl VAT)
  • R1150 / R1200 GS Front brake rotors R3920 (2x Incl fitment and two rubber wheel seals)
  • F650 “Twin” / F800GS Rear price R1850 (Fitted incl VAT and two rubber wheel seals)
  • F700GS / F800GS Front R6015 (Fitted incl VAT and two rubber wheel seals)

Tire options:

We are a fully equipped for fitment and balancing of motorcycle tires.

We stock Dunlop, Michelin, Pirelli and Mitas tires, and have options of Bridgestone and Metzeler tires available.

Our most popular tires are the Dunlop Trailmax – It is a very good high mileage tire with good road holding and off road capabilities. Also the Mitas E07+ which is a more off-road oriented tire with good road holding.

As far as electronic features go, Anti-lock brakes and other electronic aids are the best technology available for safety on the road. Another electrical feature many BMW motorbikes have is heated grips. They are expensive when it comes to replacing the actual hand grips, so we have sleeve protectors of two different kinds to protect the rubber of the BMW heated grips.

Standard ‘cricket bat sleeves type’ are easy to install and work great.

Price including VAT and fitment is R180. 

 

(Normally handguards need to be removed and adjusted.)

 

More premium type grips with a life span of 3 to 5 years and real soft feel is the foam ‘Grip-up’ hand grip covers for R450 including fitment.

Chain and sprockets replacement:

We make us of PBR sprockets and NG motorcycle drive chains. They offer a good price to performance ratio. In some occasions a Genuine product rear sprocket may have advantages with longevity offset to cost.

We are specialists in motorcycle suspensions.

Standard servicing and repairs or reconditioning of components will be carried out with utmost care and detail.

Our list of services for motorcycle suspensions include front fork seal replacements which gives us the chance to do a complete strip-down. Wash and test or measuring of individual components. Hard chroming if needed of fork stanchions. And ultimately assembly with top quality performance based Motul oil and top quality seals and if needed dust / pre-seals.

 

Standard front fork recon, including removal and fitment from the motorcycle is R2400-00 incl VAT.

 

Closed shock absorbers are conventionally used for the rear suspension of a motorcycle but is also included in the design of the patented BMW Telelever front suspensions. These shock absorbers have an oil seal that can leak, is filled with hydraulic oil and use high pressure nitrogen gas integral to their design.

 

Shock absorbers full reconditioning is roughly R2800-00 incl VAT. May be subject to additional labor for removal and fitment from the motorcycle.

BMW motorcycles specifically are very dependant on having a strong voltage coming from a good battery. Weak battery’s may have the motorcycle struggling to start and may even damage costly sensors if a low and weak battery is being used.

We understand that a battery is a ‘wear and tear’ item and will be replaced every couple of years or so. That’s why we offer different makes of batteries to suit every pocket and requirement.

We stock Toplite ( Yuasa ) , BS, and Enertec sealed batteries for every BMW. The batteries come with a minimum 6 month and Maximum 12 month guarantee.

At times a charger would be needed. We stock all of three Optimate type chargers, also a more budget friendly Oxford intelligent charger with cables etc for R850.00

BMW Genuine battery straps if missing R391 (Stainless steel) for the 1200AC models and R270 for the single cylinder 650 model. (Rubber)

Also consider a 1200 BMW model additional earth lead to be fitted to the motorcycle / retrofit. Price incl copper lead and installation for R400.00

We use Motul oil for our engine servicing needs.

Motul submits specific oils to BMW for testing and have a letter of approval to guarantee our products meet or exceed their warranty requirements to protect your engine.
